You have probably never done this before, and that’s okay!
Let’s all acknowledge the elephant in the room. Disrobing for a stranger with a camera is kinda weird! Most people have never done this before let alone have someone photograph them. I understand. Before I picked up the camera I spent 14 years in the field of psychiatry. How’s that for a left field change in careers? I know the importance of of reducing people’s anxiety, maintaining a safe and comfortable space, and allowing people to flourish and experiment without judgement. We are social creatures and we want our thoughts and feelings to feel validated. The same can be said for a boudoir session. Does my client feel in control? Are their wishes being orchestrated by me correctly? Am I giving them the right tools for success? These thoughts consistently run through my brain as I complete a shoot.

I don’t subscribe to the “Male Gaze.” A lot of my work embraces posing from different mediums of art and texture.
I don’t take myself seriously
You shouldn’t either. After losing my father about 3 years ago I decided that life is only meaningful if you actually live it. How long are we here for? Less than a century usually. It’s so important that we make each other smile, do scary(but legal) things, and enjoy the relationships we made. That’s Emily, you’ll probably see her at shoots because she’s wonderful and holds all the things for me.
Testimonials
“Mike is an extremely talented photographer who will make you feel comfortable, safe, and beautiful. Also, you will be laughing the entire time. I have worked with Mike multiple times and would highly recommend him to anyone in search of stunning images for their big day, portfolio, or just because.”

“Ya know what’s better than being 7 months pregnant and getting glammed up for a boudoir photo shoot? Seeing the stunning images that result from said photo shoot. Ya know what tops both of these combined? Getting glammed up, getting an album full of stunning images, AND working with a photographer who makes you feel the most comfortable with your body that you’ve felt in months.
Mike is a jewel-he’s professional and incredibly good at his craft. He’s thoughtful in his approach to creating art and funny enough to make clients forget how awkward they are in front of a camera.
Reach out to the guy; get yourself some priceless images.”
Erica W.
“Michael is a fantastic photographer. He captures the true essence of his subjects, and working with him is a breeze. He gives good directions and knows how to make people who do not usually feel comfortable on camera loosen up and enjoy the moment! 10/10 would absolutely hire again”

Did you make it this far? That’s great! More random knowledge for you to digest. I’ve lived in Massachusetts, North Carolina, and New Jersey but NJ has and always will be home. It’s Taylor Ham by the way. I know people will fight me on that. I have been photographing professionally for 17 years, wowaweewa! I am also a wedding and portrait photographer but something tells me you would know that considering you’re on my site. I use Canon cameras and I also shoot on film. You can learn more about that if you contact me. I’ve said before I don’t participate in the “Male Gaze.” I try my best to never look at anyone in that light. My influence comes from all different types of art, fashion photographers of the 20th century, and your desire to see yourself differently.
Wow, talking about yourself is tiring. Major snore. What’s more interesting is if you send me a message so we can create something gorgeous. Or maybe you want to follow me on Instagram? That would be very sweet. Anywho, I’ve put a little contact form here at the bottom so you can say hello. Don’t worry, I will say hello back. I’m not one of those people that doesn’t answer their email. If you somehow got here without looking at all the beautiful boudoir work I’ve made over the years please go find that first!
